Getting their feet wet!
First Form

First form, although an introductory stage for our young students, it is no place for idling. Many of students come in fresh and happy, but the work has only just begun. The focus at this level is for children to get a feel of what Glenmuir is like from all perspectives. This is the time for them to explore our offerings and try to understand how our system of teaching and learning works. We encourage all our students to work closely will all their teacher. That is what we are here for.

Settling in.
Second Form

Second form marks a new kind of experience. If a child is fully integrated into our way of delivering content and assessment, then this stage should be a breeze. The key thing at this stage is to start experimenting with different ways of studying and different kinds of time management. As our students play around with these learning variables, the should eventually find something that works for them, and stick to it or modify it to suit their learning situations. We advise that students try to get to know their guidance counsellors who will help in directing them to career paths and the ways to get there.

"Ready, Set, GROW!"
Third Form

Every effort is made at this level, to ascertain our students inherent or learnt abilities. Students are now expected to spend much more time in the retention of taught material and demonstrate that they have retained. The assessments at this level is much harder and will seem overwhelming to many. However, the key to learning and making every effort a success, is to use the styles that you might have learnt from second form and first form, and now employ all of them to attain the grade you want and thus launch you into the forth form you would prefer.

Gear Up.
Fourth Form.

Students have already decided on the path they will take for the external examinations the will be sitting in a year and a half. Contrary to the belief of some, fourth form is not a time to be completely relaxed. We stress the importance of time management and the use of our assessment methods to prepare the students incrementally, so that when CXCs are upon them, they would have already master most of the content they are taught at this level.

Sighting University
Lower Sixth Form.

Our sixth form program is about leadership as well as academic and scholastic preparation for higer education. At this level, students who have been in the institution for five years, are now acquainted with the length and breadth of our rules and should be ready to take positions of authority both in clubs and societies and/or as members of the Prefect Council. The "free" periods alloted to sixth form students are designed for students to fulfill their roles as leaders and spend time re-inforcding material learnt in class.

Exceptional Achievement
Upper Sixth Form

A more dominant role is expected by students at this level. Students are also expected to be at the top of their academic games and all educational activities should be ramped up in preparation for the final examination in the CAPE exams. We encourage extreme efforts at this stage, as such efforts help with scholarship and university applications.
